A Day to Remember – Our Family Fun Day Fundraiser
What a day! Our Family Fun Day Fundraiser was a whirlwind of excitement, laughter, and heartwarming moments. With over 600 guests joining us from 1pm, the event was everything we hoped for and more.
The day kicked off with sunshine, setting the perfect scene for a fun-filled afternoon. By 2pm, Lynsey, our incredible singing princess, had the crowd mesmerised with her magical performance.
Then at 3pm, emotions ran high as I (Sian Louise, Founder of Obvs Skincare) took to the stage for the speeches. A particularly special moment came when Maddison, who helped formulate our new Organic Scalp Oil, shared her story.
James Beattie then spoke movingly about the Sophie Barringer Trust, reminding us all why we had come together for this special event.
We were also honoured to welcome ex-Saints legends Mark Dennis and David Hughes, who mingled with guests and added a touch of football history to the day.
Throughout the event, Blake Entertainment kept spirits high with an incredible selection of activities – the bouncy castle slide, assault course, penalty shootout, and, of course, an endless supply of candy floss and popcorn!
Their cool 3D-printed fidget toys were a massive hit too. The Glitterati added some sparkle with their stunning face painting, while Rueben, our magician, left everyone speechless with his jaw-dropping tricks.
Over at Creative Capers, Amy amazed us all with her balloon artistry, but the real showstopper? Alistair (my husband) giving his best effort at making a balloon dog – which he claimed was our Smithy dog. It was quite impressive, even if he almost took out a small child in the process!
Music was in full swing thanks to DJ Dale and MC James O’Grady, keeping the energy up all day long. And let’s not forget the selfie station from Finishing Touches – we all struck our best poses and captured some fantastic memories.
Obvs Skincare had an incredible day, selling loads of our organic skincare goodies. We were also thrilled to support some amazing young entrepreneurs – Emily showcased her stunning resin designs, Isla sold her beautiful handmade bracelets, and Georgia kindly made loom bands with the kids.

Meanwhile, the Teddy Tombola was a massive hit, with lots of lucky winners cuddling their new fluffy friends, and the cake stall kept everyone happily fuelled with delicious treats.
The Obvs Skincare Colouring Competition was another highlight, expertly supervised by Kirsty from Chuckles Sleep Consultant, who made sure all the little artists had a fantastic time.
Adding even more magic to the day, the Easter Bunny and Bluey made a special appearance, delighting children and adults alike with their fun antics and photo opportunities!
A wonderful surprise came when published author and WhatAllergy blogger Ruth Holroyd made a special visit, which was such a fantastic moment for me!
Then, just as we thought the day couldn’t get any better, at 4.30pm, the heavens opened. But did we let that dampen our spirits? Absolutely not! We all piled into the marquee to watch the incredible Jade perform, rounding off the day with an unforgettable show.
