Is this sunscreen suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. It has been formulated for sensitive skin and is fragrance-free, with no added parfum or common fragrance allergens. As with any skincare product, we recommend patch testing first.

Is it suitable for babies and children?
Yes. Suitable for babies and children over 6 months. Babies under 6 months should be kept out of direct sunlight and protected with shade, clothing, hats and sunglasses.

Is it suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Yes. It uses mineral zinc oxide as the UV filter and contains no chemical UV filters.

What provides the SPF protection?
Non-nano zinc oxide provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection by sitting on the skin and helping reflect UV rays.

Why SPF 50 and not SPF 30?
SPF 50 provides a higher level of UVB protection than SPF 30. We chose SPF 50 to offer maximum protection while keeping the formula gentle and skin-friendly.

Will it leave a white cast?
We use micronised zinc oxide to improve blendability. You may see where you have applied it initially, which helps with even coverage, but it rubs in without leaving a lasting heavy white cast.

Is the zinc oxide nano?
No. We use non-nano zinc oxide.

Does it feel greasy?
No. The lightweight formula absorbs comfortably and feels more like skincare than traditional sunscreen.

Does it contain fragrance?
No. It is fragrance-free, with no parfum or essential oils. It has a soft natural aroma from the ingredients themselves.

Why doesn't it smell like traditional sunscreen?
Many traditional sunscreens contain added fragrance and chemical UV filters that create the familiar sunscreen scent. Our formula has no added fragrance and keeps the natural scent of the ingredients.

What preservatives do you use?
We use naturally derived probiotic-based preservation systems.

Is it certified organic?
Not yet. We are currently awaiting Soil Association certification approval.

Is it vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. It is approved by the Vegan Society and is cruelty-free.

Is it 100% natural?
Yes. It is made with 100% naturally derived ingredients.

What is it free from?
Formulated without fragrance, oxybenzone, octocrylene, other chemical UV filters, parabens, mineral oil, microplastics, sulphates, palm oil and nano-particles.

How was it tested?
It has been independently tested in an Australian third-party laboratory using the ISO 24443:2021 in vitro sunscreen testing standard. It has also undergone UK third-party Preservative Efficacy Testing (PET) and stability testing.

Can I use it on my face and body?
Yes. It has been formulated for both face and body use.

Can children use the same sunscreen as adults?
Yes. The formula is suitable for adults and children over 6 months.

How much sunscreen should I apply?
Apply generously. Using too little sunscreen will significantly reduce the level of protection achieved.

How often should I reapply?
Reapply at least every 2 hours and immediately after swimming, sweating or towel drying.

Is it waterproof?
No sunscreen is completely waterproof. Reapply after swimming, sweating or towel drying.

Can I stay in the sun all day wearing SPF 50?
No sunscreen provides 100% protection. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and use additional protection such as shade, clothing, hats and sunglasses.

How long does it last once opened?
Use within 12 months of opening.

How should I store it?
Keep out of direct sunlight and store in a cool, dry place.

How do I open the tube?
Pierce the freshness seal carefully with a clean key. Pierce upwards and take care, as pressure inside the tube may cause the SPF to dispense quickly.

How do I get every last bit out?
Roll down the top of the tube as you use it. An Obvs Magic Key can be used to wind the tube down and help get every last drop.

What packaging does it come in?
It comes in a recyclable aluminium tube. Simply remove the stickers before recycling. We hope to have labels printed directly onto tubes in the future.

Where is it made?
It is proudly made in the UK.

Do I need to patch test?
Yes. Patch test before first use, especially if you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions.

Important sun safety information
Apply generously before sun exposure, reapply regularly, avoid prolonged sun exposure, seek shade where possible and wear protective clothing, hats and sunglasses. Sunscreen should not be relied upon as the only form of sun protection.

Wheat Germ Oil (Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil)
A nourishing plant oil naturally rich in vitamin E and fatty acids. Helps moisturise, soften and support the skin barrier. Despite the name, the oil is gluten-free.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
A powerful antioxidant that helps protect oils in the formula from oxidation while helping condition and nourish the skin.

Before first use:
Carefully pierce the freshness seal at the bottom of the tube using a clean key or similar pointed object.

Pierce the seal upwards and take care when opening, as pressure inside the tube may cause the sunscreen to dispense quickly once the seal is broken. Keep the tube upright and direct the opening away from yourself and others.

How to apply:
Apply generously and evenly to clean, dry skin before sun exposure.

Massage thoroughly into the skin, ensuring all exposed areas are covered. You may initially see where you have applied the sunscreen, which helps ensure even coverage. Continue rubbing in until evenly blended.

For best protection, apply enough sunscreen. Using too little will significantly reduce the level of protection achieved.

Reapplication:
Reapply at least every 2 hours, and always reapply immediately after swimming, sweating, bathing or towel drying.

No sunscreen provides 100% protection from UV radiation. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and use additional protection such as shade, protective clothing, a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses.

Getting every last drop:
As you use the sunscreen, gently roll down the top of the aluminium tube to push the product towards the opening.

For an easier experience, use an Obvs Magic Key to neatly wind the tube down and help you get every last drop.

Storage:
Keep out of direct sunlight and store in a cool, dry place.

Use within 12 months of opening.
