Let’s skip the small talk and explore the benefits of each nourishing ingredient that’s packed into this soothing, Obvs Skincare Organic Oat Soap -
Organic Oats – anti-inflammatory qualities that help to reduce itchiness. According to a 2012 study*, oatmeal can protect skin and soothe the itching and irritation from eczema as well as strengthen the outer barrier of your skin, making it an ideal ingredient in an everyday essential for anyone who is prone to skin issues such as eczema or acne.
Organic Unrefined Shea Butter - has been used for centuries to protect the skin from harsh weather conditions. Is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can help to soothe irritated skin. Unrefined shea butter has not been exposed to any chemicals or heat during processing, preserving its natural nutrients. A study conducted in 2009** concluded that Shea Butter is a more effective emollient for eczema than petroleum jelly. Meaning not only is it better for the planet, but Shea Butter is also safer for your skin than many synthetic emollients on the market.
Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil - When used in a soap, the medium-chain fatty acids within coconut oil have antimicrobial properties that helps reduce the presence of bacteria, fungi, and viruses on the skin. This helps to eliminate the risk of infection caused by scratching itchy skin. When combined with NaOH, the saponification of the oils, water and NaOH create an unrivalled, luxurious lather which leaves your skin feeling moisturised and clean.
Organic Cocoa Butter - has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it effective in healing wounds and protecting against further tissue damage. Cocoa Butter adds firmness and moisture to the soap, perfect alternative to palm oil.
Organic Castor Oil – high in Ricinoleic Acid, a Monounsaturated Fatty Acid, Castor Oil is a natural moisturiser that offers great hydration to sore, dry skin. An effective humectant that adds a creamy texture to the soaps lather.
Organic Olive Oil and Organic Unrefined Cane Sugar – No particular benefits to the skin to shout about but when included in a soap formulation they produce sugar fatty acid esters, which are very gentle cleansing agents.

DIRECTIONS: Create a rich creamy lather to gently cleanse sensitive skin. This unscented Natural Oat Soap will leave your skin clean and nourished. Suitable for all skin types. Made in the UK.
For external use only – avoid direct eye contact – not for application to the mucous membranes or on broken skin. If irritation occurs discontinue use.
Keep dry when not in use as this makes the soap last longer.

This little bar comes beautifully packaged, so is ideal for a gift. In our household, we use it for hand washing, it lasts for ages and stays fairly solid, even at the basins used really frequently (though I do use a draining soap dish). It's really pleasant to use, with no fragrance so won't aggravate any skin problems. The water here is quite hard, but it doesn't leave a layer of murk on the basins to clean off as other soaps do. The best bar of soap I've come across.

Hi. Just wanted to say that am enjoying the oat bar, but not as a bar of soap. I usually have a daily rinse with vit c, some magnesium salts and have been placing the oat soap just in the water as well. This has been great for my sensitive skin. Obvs sells loads of brilliant products but this little gem is amazing on its own. It’s been great for my eczema, I use it on my face as well and it’s really improved my skin. I am going to try the other 2 soaps next!

Am making a conscious effort this year to change all my beauty and hygiene products to natural ones without all the “ nasties” …. I have discovered “ obvs” products and my goodness how I love them ! I’ve purchased a cpl of moisturisers and bath salts, lip balm , and now the natural soaps , these are amazing and leave my skin feeling so soft , doesn’t irritate the skin ( especially the intimate area) you could say I’m getting kinda addicted to these products and month by month am slowly purchasing the whole range!
