The Organic Balm For Dogs

It’s not just humans that can benefit from my balm, I have formulated a dog-friendly version that includes 5% Organic Neem Oil to help combat your dog's dry and itchy skin.

Kinder on the planet and your dog’s skin, the organic balm for dogs is a sustainable, vegan and natural alternative to petroleum jelly. Perfect for minimising soreness and dryness, to your dog’s paws, nose and skin. It’s safe for cats too!

What It Helps With

Suitable for Dogs and Cats, the Organic Balm is perfect for minimising soreness and dryness, to paws, nose and skin. It’s safe for cats too!

Petroleum jelly is widely used in the skincare industry and after researching its long refining process from crude oil, which is a non-renewable resource, I had to create an alternative that was natural, sustainable and safe to use.

In the process, I have created a balm that not only acts as a barrier but also provides the skin moisture to soothe dry skin. This is because, unlike petroleum jelly, the ingredients in my balm such as the unrefined organic shea butter, act as a non-comedogenic barrier that when teamed with the organic safflower oil, provides a non-greasy layer that is lick safe and leaves the skin/paws/nose moisturised.

I pride myself on only using high quality, organic and sustainably sourced ingredients in this balm and across the whole Obvs range.

Butyrospermum parkii (Shea Butter)*, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil*,  Maranta Arundinacea Root Powder (Arrowroot)*, Azadirachta indica seed oil (Neem Oil)* Euphorbia cerifera cera (Candelilla Wax), Triticum Vulgare Germ Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), *Organic

The unrefined, certified organic Shea Butter is organic and raw, meaning it has not undergone a chemical refining process. You receive all the undiluted, natural benefits it has to offer. The organic, unrefined Shea Butter comes straight from a fairly traded cooperation, who do not use pesticides and are totally sustainable, whilst paying their workers a good wage.

Organic, cold-pressed certified organic Safflower oil has a high Omega 8 content making it popular for acne and problem skin conditions. It is mild enough to use in Baby care products and Children's skincare creams. Safflower oil has a low comedogenic rating which means it goes on very light, works for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and absorbs into the skin quickly, without leaving a greasy residue.

Organic Arrowroot Powder has nourishing qualities with a reputation for detoxification and wound healing. It’s known to calm skin irritations and is widely used in creams and lotions.

Tocopherol, or better known as vitamin E, is found in vegetable oil. It’s easily absorbed by the skin and is rejuvenating for all skin types. Vitamin E also helps to preserve the cream - ensuring it stays fresher for longer.

Candelilla wax, a vegan alternative to beeswax, comes from the Candelilla plant. The plant native to Mexico is grown under strict regulations to ensure sustainable harvesting.  It not only helps bind other ingredients together, it also provides a barrier whilst absorbing easily into the skin.

Neem Oil – Neem oil has been used for centuries medicinally, on the skin and hair for its antibacterial properties,  to soothe dryness and also is a natural insect repellent.
